The rich history of Ravenwood dates back to the early 19th century, when 75 acres of the club's current location was purchased.

In 1957, the entire 270+ acres was purchased by a group of Donelson citizens for the purpose of providing a place of "wholesome recreation for themselves and their families."  That summer, a pool was opened and swimming lessons, hiking, scout activities, and youth functions began.  

From the organization of the first Ladies Day Luncheon in 1958 to the first club Easter egg hunt the following year, interest in the club began to grow. By fall of 1962, construction had begun on the club golf course.  Later that year, the Donelson Park Club, the organization which owned the club, unanimously voted to change the name of their prized destination to The Ravenwood Club.

The rich tradition of family and fun continues today at The Ravenwood Club. 

Various memberships and programs are available to meet virtually anyone's desire for a family-oriented experience combining activities from golf, swimming, and tennis, to simply a place to go to share a meal with friends.
